Los Angeles is the heartbeat of commerce in Southern California. Los Angeles is known most by its multicultural inhabitants. In one end of the area, you will find China Town, a living and breathing metropolis, which takes one to the busy streets of Hong Kong and to the north of Los Angeles, is the film capitol of the world, Hollywood, California. It is also home to one of the largest immigrant population of eastern Europeans, Koreans, Hispanics, African-Americans, and California natives, which boasts several venues for entertainment such as the Palladium, The Roxy, the Whiskey a Go-Go on sunset, the Laugh Factory. In addition, you will find a plethora of outdoor eateries, which stretch from one end of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, all the way into Beverly Hills to the south.
Los Angeles boasts several different sports venues, such as Dodger stadium, the Rose Bowl a few miles to the east in the city of Pasadena, the Kodak Hollywood Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. There is Los Angeles International Airport located in the southern part of the city in an area called El Segundo, and Los Angeles is also home to the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans, the world famous Los Angeles Lakers, the Kings Hockey team, and the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team.
